Conventum
On August 6, former students of the Ecole Nationale de Lutherie (Quebec City) celebrated the tenth anniversary of their graduation! Interestingly, it was a first such meeting for the school. Jean-Louis Bouchard, director of the Violin Making School has generously provided us with the school classrooms.
It was a wonderful opportunity to reconnect with friends and teachers of the time. Only two former students could not join the group. Two alumni based in Europe have even made the trip for the occasion. Among the graduates of 2001, many continued in instrument making, being Richard Benoit, Pascal Béland, Sylvain Rusticoni, François Forest, Étienne Bolduc, Sébastien Dupuis, Philippe Lemieux, Caroline Champagne and myself.
Do we have to wait another ten years to do it again?
